Seafood Hokkien Char @ Penang Chinese Chin Woo Athletic Association

Last Thursday night, The Three Musketeers went out for the weekly food hunting again. As usual, the “Cat” man is our food guide. Before reaching, I have no idea where we were heading to. Finally, we turned into The Penang Chinese Chin Woo Athletic Association. There is a Seafood Hokkien Char stall located there. If not because of the “Cat” man, I will never know there is a hawker stall in Penang Chinese Chin Woo Athletic Association.

In front of the stall, there are many varieties of seafood and vegetables for you to choose.

Cooking Area.

We ordered Fried Maggi Noodle, Fried Rice and Clams. Before we have our food, we have additional food: Salad by the “Cat” man. There are crab stick, walnut, raisins and …… I forgot. If you want to know, please ask the one and only “Cat” man.

The Fried Maggi Noodle was special. There were fried mantis prawns on top.

Same as Fried Maggi Noodle, the Fried Rice was also come with the fried mantis prawns.

Here comes the clams. The sauce was less and quite sweet.

We pay RM28 for the 3 dishes including 3 drinks. It’s consider not really expensive. One person only costs around RM9.

  11. Hi,
Do you have the contact for this shop? I think he’s no longer in Jalan Burma. Thanks

  12. Hey Yummy,

It’s been donkey years since I ate here. Think they have probably moved or closed. Everytime I go Penang for the past few years I still drive by just to see if it’s my lucky day. I missed their mantis shrimp maggi. Perhaps you can enlighten me their whereabouts now. Thanks
