Chinese New Year: Yummy Station Butter Cookies

Chinese New Year is just 2 days away. Since the beginning of the month, we already can see the Chinese New Year Biscuit on sales. Everyone is busy doing the spring cleaning, baking the biscuit and shopping. Every year, I will bake the butter cookies and give them to my friends. This year will be a rush for me because I only have one day to do it, which is last Monday. Before start baking, I went to Tesco Hypermarket to get all the stuffs needed. Once done, the baking session begins.

Pepper Lunch @ Singapore IMM Shopping Centre

First of all, I would like to wish all my readers to have a wonderful 2009 ahead, Happy New Year!!! I tried to post last night but it seems my connection is having some difficulty to upload the photos. I gave up in the end. OK back to the food.

Again, this restaurant was located in the IMM building. I met up with Hoon and she decided to fetch me to IMM since it is the nearest shopping centre. She wanted to let me try out the food in Pepper Lunch. It is her recommendation since 2007. Luckily, we went there early and it was on a weekday, the restaurant was not crowded.

Swensens @ Singapore IMM Shopping Centre

I went to IMM for many times when I was in Singapore. It has become the place for me to meet up my friend. On the 30th November, I went there to meet up one of the blogger, AhhJohn. We went there for lunch. We cannot decide on what to have in the first place. In the end, AhhJohn suggested to have lunch in Swensens. I am OK with it.

After flipping through the menu, I decided to order the Clam Chowder. I don’t want to have the pasta anymore. I remember I tried the Clam Chowder in Food and Tea last time but cannot finish it, since we ordered too many food. This time, I was smart, I just ordered the Clam Chowder.

The Café Cartel @ Singapore IMM Shopping Centre

On the first day in Singapore, my cousin came and fetched us to the nearby shopping mall to have lunch. We also have our breakfast in the same place but I will talked about the breakfast in another post. The shopping mall we went is the IMM Shopping Centre, which is near to Jurong East MRT station. My cousin suggested to have western food for lunch since he likes the pork ribs very much. We then headed to The Café Cartel which is located in the basement.

Yaw’s Roast & Grill

Ever since I met with Criz and Steven during the 2nd Food Blogger Gathering, we have gone out for dinner for several times. Last night was another meet up since Steven was really exciting on the food hunt. As usual, Criz was our food guide. He suggested for the western food in Francis’s Fusion. However, there is no parking place available and the restaurant was crowded with people. We have no choice but to change our destination to Yaw’s Roast & Grill at Gerbang Midlands. I went to this place few years back with my friend. I don’t know about the name until today.
