Edelweiss Cafe

I will never know about this Cafe if I didn’t see the post from CK Lam. CK, Lingzie and other food bloggers are organizing the 2nd Food Blogger Gathering, and Edelweiss Cafe will be the venue for the meet up. I am glad I have made it to the gathering.

The dinner starts around 8pm. Before we start to have our dinner, Lingzie, aka the chairman gave a welcoming speech.

Each and everyone have the same drink, Ice Lemon Tea.

We have Toasted Roti Benggali with Cheese and Onions as a starter. Each of us will get 2 pieces. The waitress reminding us, afraid anyone of us will get more than 2! Hahaha.

Toasted Roti Benggali with Cheese and Onions are just yummy. If you have the time, you can do it at home too. It’s pretty simple. Nice starter!

Followed by the Pumpkin Orange Soup, which is served with the garlic bread. I forgot how was the soup taste like. But I like it, this is what I remembered. 🙂

For the main course, we can choose from 5 choices. We need to make the decision before the gathering. I have no idea which one to choose in the first place. After getting the description and suggestion by Lingzie, I chose the BBQ Pork Ribs, which comes with the French fries and salad.

The BBQ Pork Ribs were superb! There are 4 pieces of Pork Ribs. The portion was huge if compare to others. I enjoy the BBQ Pork Ribs very much. The pork was not tough, it was just fine to be eaten. The BBQ sauce made the Pork Ribs become tasty and delicious.

The rest of the 4 choices are:

Curry Pork Sausage, served with French fries and salad as well. The sausage has tomato sauce and curry powder sprinkled on top.

Roast Leg of Lamb, served with mashed potatoes, gravy and mint sauce.

Gammon Ham, served with mashed potatoes, onion gravy and salad.

Smoke Pork Belly, served with mashed potatoes and salad.

After the main course, we started to chit chat among ourselves and taking the photos with other food bloggers and the environment (The photos are a bit blur. I used night mode with flash. My hand was shaking. Too bad!). We are so excited, taking the photos non stop, until we need to be asked to sit down to have our dessert. Haha, funny huh?

Besides, when the food was serve, all of us just take the opportunity to take the photos before we can start to eat. You need to be there to experience the wildness and the excitement!

Dessert was served few minutes before 10pm. It was the Apple Flan with the ice cream. Oh, I like it so much!!

Some of the dessert will be very sweet, but this Apple Flan was just great. That is why I like it.

After the dessert, a cup of coffee was served. You can choose between coffee or Tea.

The dinner costs RM38 nett! It was really worth it!

One thing I need to mention, I was happy to see many bloggers in person. They are Lingzie, CK Lam, Chan Lilian, Nicholas, Ah Shui, Ken, PenangTuaPui (Huat Koay and Tam Chiak), Criz, Steven Goh, Andrew, Durian Berry, and many more who I missed out. So nice to meet you all!

Oh, before I forgot, besides the dinner, each of the attendees will get door gift. There are discount voucher and cookies inside.

We also have the “lucky draw” during the dinner. It’s not really a lucky draw. Everyone will get the gift, depends on which number you got. I got a number 1 and this is what I got: a RM50 cash voucher for Fun Tea Garden. Great huh?!

In addition, we also get to try the pineapple/jam tart and brownie by CK Lam and Ah Shui. Both tart and brownie are delicious! Thanks so much!

Although the gathering has just passed, I am already waiting for the next one. 🙂

  1. Glad I gave this fifteen minutes rather than the usual three minute skim, and a look at infinitydealcenter earned the same investment, time spent on quality content is rarely wasted but the reverse is also true and learning which sites deserve which kind of attention is part of being a careful online reader.

  2. A piece that did not try to be timeless and ended up reading as durable anyway, and a look at nextcartstation extended that durable feel, content that stays useful past its publication date without straining for permanence is content that ages well and this site has the kind of evergreen quality that I value highly today.

  3. Liked the careful selection of which details to include and which to skip, and a stop at stylishgoodszone reflected the same editorial judgement, knowing what to leave out is just as important as knowing what to include and this site has clearly figured out where that line sits for the topics it covers regularly.

  5. Came away with a slightly better mental model of the topic than I started with, and a stop at globalgoodszone sharpened that further, content that improves the reader thinking apparatus rather than just dumping facts into it is the rare kind I genuinely value and seek out when I have time to read carefully.

  6. Genuinely useful read, the points are practical and easy to apply right away, and a quick look at crystalmeadowgoods confirmed that this site is consistent in that approach, looking forward to digging through the rest of it when I get the chance to sit down properly later in the week or this weekend.

  8. My time on this site has now extended past what I had budgeted, and a stop at qualitytrendzone keeps extending it further, content that overstays its budget in my schedule is content that has earned the extra time and this site has been earning extra time across multiple visits to the point where my schedule needs adjustment.

  10. Picked a single sentence from this post to remember, and a look at urbanbaygoods gave me another to keep, content that produces memorable lines is doing more than just transferring information and the small selection of sentences I keep from each reading session is one of the actual returns I get from reading carefully.

  11. Following the post through to the end without my attention drifting once, and a look at vividcartcorner earned the same uninterrupted attention, content that holds attention without manipulating it is content with substantive pull and this site has demonstrated that substantive pull across multiple pieces in a single reading session reliably here today.

  12. During the time spent here I noticed the absence of the usual distractions, and a stop at trendycartstation extended that distraction free experience, content that does not fight my attention with pop ups and modals and aggressive prompts is content that respects me and this site has clearly chosen the respectful approach throughout.

  13. However many similar pages I have read this one taught me something new, and a stop at stylishgoodsstation added more new material, content that contributes genuinely fresh information rather than recycling what is already widely available is content with real informational value and this site is providing that informational freshness at a notable rate.

  15. Appreciated how the post felt complete without overstaying its welcome, and a stop at urbanpetalstore confirmed that economical approach runs across the site, knowing when to stop is a skill many writers never develop but here the discipline is obvious and welcome from the perspective of a busy reader trying to learn things efficiently.
