Langkawi Nature Discovery Trip

*This is a special long post with lots of photos*

This post will include food review (as usual), as well as those places I went on the tour. It is a Langkawi Nature Discovery Tour in conjunction with the “Travel with A Green Heart” campaign, brought to you by Langkawi Coral. Thanks to Mr Criz and Mr Leslie.

I woke up early in that morning and fetched 2 other bloggers before headed to Port Swettenham. We supposed to be there at 7.30am, but we were a bit late. After meeting our tour guide Jeffrey and getting the passes, we board the boat. It took around 3 hours to reach Langkawi.

This is the boat we took.

Once we reached, we were sent for lunch at Royal Langkawi Yacht Club by a van. Before on board, I managed to snap the photo of the symbol of Langkawi, the Eagle.

Royal Langkawi Yacht Club is very near to the port.

The food was ready for us. We only need to order the drinks: Juices, Coffee or Tea.

Orange Juice

Apple Juice

Latte

The Tomato Soup was the first to be served. It was too sour for our liking.

img_3680

Fish and Chip. The flour was too thick and the taste of the sauce was a bit weird.

Chicken Burger.

img_3713

Beef Burger.

Fried Rice with Satay.

img_3722

Sandwich. Very nice, I like it.

Spaghetti.

The view from Royal Langkawi Yacht Club was awesome.

After the lunch, we were rushing to the Langkawi Cable Car. On the way, we passed through a lot of paddy field. The paddy field was so green. Although the van was moving, I still took the photo.

Children were taking photo with the snake.

img_3755

So coincidence, Bloggers met their friends in the Oriental Village.

img_3767

Unfortunately, the cable car was having technical issue and needed to wait for 2 hours. No luck with it. Sigh. Since the time was ticking, we left the Langkawi Cable Car and headed to Underwater World instead.

img_3949

We have 1 hour for the Underwater World.

Next destination, Kilim Karst Geoforest Park. It includes Bat Cave, Fish Pond and Eagle Feeding. In order to go there, we need to take a small boat.

img_3957

First, Bat Cave.

img_3973

The cave was very dark. We cannot take the photos with flash, only the tour guide can use the torch light to show us where the bats located. Before entering the cave, Jefferey reminded us not to touch the handle along the pathway for our safety.

img_3981

After the Bat Cave, we left for Eagle Feeding.

img_3999

It was hard to take the photos of the eagle flying down to grab the food on the water surface. That is why, I only have the photo of the eagle flying on the blue sky.

img_4012

Fish Pond is the next destination. Someone was feeding the Stingray.

img_4088

The interesting part was the spitting fish. The spitting fish is very clever. If you place a bread on the pole, the spitting fish will aim and spit exactly on the target, for it to fall into the pond. Interesting!

img_4075

Our last destination, Dataran Lang or in English, Eagle Square.

After taking photos with the Eagle, it was time for us to go home. The boat departed at 5.15pm.

img_4137

We thought we only can have dinner after we reached Penang. To our surprise, Jefferey brought us KFC set for each of us, burger with fries and a bottle of mineral water. The boat going back to Penang was so damn cold. It is recommended to bring jacket or sweater, if not, you will be freezing like us.

After we have the KFC and rested a while, we went to the deck for sunset shooting.

At the other side, we can see the Moon as well. What a nice view!

img_4260

Overall, the Langkawi Nature Discovery Trip was fun and enjoyable. It will be nice if we can stay there for one night. To me, the boat ride took too much time, around 6 hours for round trip. Too bad we missed the cable car ride, don’t have the chance to go to the top and see the view.

  1. A quiet kind of confidence runs through the writing, and a look at portolives carried that same understated assurance, confidence without bragging is the most attractive register for online writing and the writers here have clearly developed it through practice rather than affecting it through stylistic tricks that would feel hollow eventually.

  2. Closed three other tabs to focus on this one and never opened them again, and a stop at silverharborcommercegallery similarly held attention exclusively, content that crowds out other reading from working memory is content with real density and this site has demonstrated that density across multiple pages I have visited so far this morning.

  3. Now recognising that this site has earned a place in the small group of resources I treat as authoritative, and a stop at meadowharborgoodsgallery confirmed that placement, the difference between resources I trust and resources I just consume is real and this site has clearly moved into the trusted category through consistent quality over time.

  4. Considered alongside other sources I have been reading this one consistently rises to the top, and a stop at frostrivercommercegallery maintained that top ranking, the informal ongoing comparison between sources is something I do whenever reading on a topic and this site keeps coming out near the top of those comparisons over many sessions.

  5. Reading this on a long flight and finding it the best thing I read across hours of trying, and a stop at jewelbrookartisanexchange kept the streak going, when content beats long flight reading you know it has substance because flight reading is a hard test of a piece given the alternatives available everywhere.

  6. Honestly enjoyed reading this more than I expected to when I first clicked through, and a stop at windharborcraftcollective kept that pleasant surprise going, sometimes you stumble onto a site that just clicks with how you like to read and this is one of those for me right now today which is great.

  7. Now realising the post solved a small problem I had been carrying for weeks, and a look at valecovecraftcollective extended that problem solving function, content that connects to specific unresolved questions in my own life rather than just providing general interest is content with real practical impact and this site is providing that practical value.

  8. Now feeling the post has earned a proper recommendation rather than a casual mention, and a stop at alpinecovecraftcollective reinforced the recommendation strength, the difference between mentioning and recommending is a small editorial distinction I observe in my own conversations and this site has earned the upgraded recommendation level from me confidently today.

  9. Most of the time I feel the open web is in decline and then I find a site like this, and a stop at learnanddevelopquickly reinforced that mood lift, the cumulative effect of finding occasional excellent independent content versus the cumulative effect of finding mostly mediocre content is real for the long term reader maintaining web habits today.

  10. If I had to defend the time I spend reading independent blogs this site would feature in the defence, and a look at ivoryridgeartisanexchange reinforced that defensive utility, the ongoing case for non algorithmic reading is one I make to myself periodically and sites like this one provide the actual evidence that supports the case clearly.

  11. Reading this with a notebook open turned out to be the right move, and a stop at seameadowcommercegallery added more material to the notes, content that justifies active note taking from a passive reader is content with real informational density and this site is producing notes worthy material at a high rate consistently.

  12. Beyond the immediate post itself the editorial sensibility behind the site is what struck me, and a stop at clovercrestcraftcollective continued displaying that sensibility, content that reveals editorial choices through accumulated reading is content with structural quality and this site has clearly developed an underlying approach worth identifying through multiple sessions of reading.

  13. Felt the post had been quietly polished rather than aggressively styled, and a look at fondarbors confirmed the same understated polish, sites whose quality reveals itself slowly rather than announcing itself loudly are the kind I trust more deeply because the trust is not based on first impressions of marketing but actual substance.

  14. Now recognising the post as a rare example of careful writing on a topic that mostly receives careless treatment, and a stop at forgecabin extended that contrast with the average elsewhere, content that highlights how much the average is settling for low quality is content that has both internal merit and external value as a benchmark.

  15. Genuinely useful read, the points are practical and easy to apply right away, and a quick look at roseharbortradehall confirmed that this site is consistent in that approach, looking forward to digging through the rest of it when I get the chance to sit down properly later in the week or this weekend.

  16. A piece that handled a controversial angle without becoming heated, and a look at caramelcoveartisanexchange continued that calm engagement, content that can address contested topics without inflaming them is doing rare diplomatic work and this site has clearly developed the editorial maturity to handle sensitive material with the appropriate temperature of writing throughout.
