Sweet-i – The Sweet Temptation Shop House @ Jalan Sungai Dua, Gelugor, Penang

It is quite hard to look for a dessert shop in Penang. Most of them are stalls located at road side. The very first one that come into my mind will be the Sugar Dynasty 糖朝 @ Nagore Road, behind New World Park. Another one will be the stall located in Choi Wui Lei Tea Garden Coffee Shop @ Jalan Aziz Ibrahim, Sungai Nibong.

Most of the dessert stalls only carry a few type of desserts. Now, you can find most of the desserts you want in Sweet-i, The Sweet Temptation Shop House @ Jalan Sungai Dua, Gelugor, Penang.

Try to look for the billboard in front of the house. Previously, it is located along the road side @ Jalan Helang.

There are a lot of printout and photos on the wall. You can get all the information you need on the desserts.

Here comes the desserts.

Tapioca Jelly Bubur Cha Cha (香草薯粉条麽麽喳喳) – RM2.70 (each packet), RM3.00 (each container)

Cold version of Tapioca Jelly Bubur Cha Cha. I still prefer the hot one. But, I am not really like the green jelly thing.

Ginger Dates Coralline Algae (姜枣海燕窝)- RM3.50 (each packet), RM3.80 (each container)

Black Glutinous Rice (Bubur Pulut Hitam) (黑糯米粥) – RM2.00 (each packet), RM2.30 (each container)
The presentation is good.

Lily Bulbs, Red Dates Fungus Coralline Algae (海燕窝百合红枣雪耳露) – RM4.50 (each packet), RM4.80 (each container)

Sha Shen Red Dates Medlar White Fungus Winter Melon Soup (糖炒参冬瓜红枣枸杞雪耳) – RM4.50 (each packet), RM4.80 (each container)

Pumpkin Sago Glutinous Rice in Coconut Milk (南瓜诺密椰香西米露) – RM3.00 (each packet), RM3.30 (each container)
This dessert is quite special to me. I seldom eat pumpkin. To my surprise, I like it. The Pumpkins are sweet.

Black Sesame Soup (生磨香浓黑芝麻糊) – RM4.00 (each packet), RM4.30 (each container)
Another dessert that I like. I bought it home after trying out on the spot.

Green Bean Sago Sweet Potato Soup (番薯西谷米绿豆沙) – RM2.70 (each packet), RM3.00 (each container)
The Sweet Potatoes are really sweet, especially those in orange.

Combination of all above desserts.

If you feel heaty, don’t have enough sleep or insomnia, you can consider to get the herbal tea that Sweet-i provided. There are 2 types: Selfheal + Chrysanthemum + Mulberry Leaf Tea for 夏枯草桑叶菊花茶 [清肝降火] RM2.00 and Dates + Chrysanthemum + Longan Tea 枣仁菊花龙眼茶 [失眠熬夜者饮用] RM3.50. Both are nice! Grab 1 or 2 bottles if you happen to pass by.

Barley White Fungus Fu-Zhu Soup (薏米雪耳腐竹) – RM2.50 (each packet), RM2.80 (each container). By adding another RM1.00, you can get the Gingko Nut Barley White Fungus Fu-Zhu Soup (白果薏米雪耳腐竹浆).

Lotus Seeds Gingko Nut Red Bean Soup (莲子白果陈皮红豆沙) – RM3.30 (each packet), RM3.60 (each container)
Ingredients are a lot. Surprise!

Kelp Red Bean Cream Soup (生磨海带红豆湖) – RM3.00 (each packet), RM3.30 (each container)

Groundnut Cream Soup(生磨香甜花生糊) – RM3.00 (each packet), RM3.30 (each container)
Creamy, Yum Yum!

If you don’t think of getting rice or noodle on a particular day, try to get the healthy porridge from Sweet-i. This is the first time I see there are so many ingredients inside a porridge: Black Bean, Chinese Yam, Lotus Seed, Kelp, Mushroom and Pumpkin. The porridge is cooked with all natural ingredients with no additional artificial taste. 黑豆山药糙米粥 (黑豆, 山药, 莲子,海带,香菇,南瓜) 全天然,无味精! RM4.50

Overall, I like the desserts from Sweet-i. For me, Desserts are my all time favorite. If I am going for a hotel buffet, desserts will be my main course. LOL. However, most of them are sweet and not recommended to eat that much, unless you exercise a lot to burn all the calories consumed.

Sweet-i is the one stop dessert shop for desserts lovers out there. You can find so many different kind of desserts here at one time without going to other different places just to get them. Furthermore, the ingredients are really a lot per serving. Their business hour is from 5.30pm – 10.30 daily, except Monday. However, It is highly recommended to call before you go to avoid any disappointment.

A MUST TRY!!!

Now, you can order the desserts online. Refer to the link on the poster below.

  1. In the middle of an otherwise scattered day this post landed as a moment of focus, and a stop at brightamigo extended that focused feeling across more pages, content that anchors a fragmented day rather than contributing to the fragmentation is content with real centring effect and this site is providing that anchoring function for me.

  2. Well done, the writing is professional without being stiff, and the topic is treated with care, and a look at orientnexus reflected that approach, the kind of site I would point a colleague to if they asked for a reliable starting point on this topic in the future without any hesitation at all.

  3. The examples really helped me grasp the points faster than abstract descriptions would have, and a stop at unifiednexus added a few more practical illustrations that drove the message home, the kind of writing that knows its readers learn better through concrete situations rather than vague generalities is rare and worth recognising clearly.

  4. Bookmark earned, share earned, return visit earned, all from one reading session, and a look at brightwinner did the same, the trifecta of bookmark and share and return is rare in a single visit and represents the highest level of engagement I tend to offer any piece of online content these days here.

  5. Really appreciate the lack of pop ups, modals, cookie banners stacking on top of each other, and a quick visit to primevertexhub confirmed the same clean approach across the rest of the site, technical decisions about user experience are part of what makes content actually pleasant to engage with for sure.

  6. Adding this site to my regular reading list, the post earned that on its own, and a quick stop at unifiednexus sealed the decision, the kind of place worth checking back with from time to time because it consistently produces material that holds up against a critical reading too which I really value.

  7. A piece that exhibited the kind of patience that good writing requires, and a look at brightamigo continued that patient quality, hurried writing is easy to spot and this site reads as having been written without time pressure which produces a different feel than the rushed content that dominates much of the modern blog space.

  8. Honestly informative, the writer covers the ground without showing off, and a look at urbanfamilia reflected the same humility, content that respects the reader rather than trying to dazzle them is something I always appreciate and rarely come across in this corner of the internet today across the topics I usually read.

  9. Once I had read three posts the editorial pattern was clear, and a look at rapidnexus confirmed the pattern from a fourth angle, sites where the underlying approach reveals itself through accumulated reading rather than being announced are sites with real depth and this one has that quality clearly visible across multiple pieces consistently.

  10. Well done, the writing is professional without being stiff, and the topic is treated with care, and a look at orientnexus reflected that approach, the kind of site I would point a colleague to if they asked for a reliable starting point on this topic in the future without any hesitation at all.

  11. Approaching this site through a casual link click and being surprised by what I found, and a look at wisdomvertex extended the surprise, the rare experience of stumbling into excellent independent content rather than predictable mediocrity is one of the actual remaining pleasures of casual web browsing and this site provided it cleanly.

  12. Worth saying that this is one of the better things I have read on the topic in months, and a stop at primevertexhub reinforced that ranking, the topic is well covered by many sources but few do it with this level of care and the few that do deserve to be flagged so other readers can find them.

  13. Читатели получат представление о том, как современные технологии влияют на развитие медицины. Обсуждаются новые методы лечения, персонализированный подход и роль цифровых решений в повышении качества медицинских услуг.

  14. Thanks for laying this out in a way that someone newer to the topic can follow, and a stop at masteryvertex kept that accessibility going, writing that meets readers at different experience levels without condescending is hard to do well and the writers here have clearly thought about who they are writing for.

  15. Clean writing, easy to read, and never tries too hard to impress, that combination is harder to find than people think, and after my time on urbanfamilia I am sure this site treats its readers well, no flashy tricks just useful content done right which is honestly all I want online.

  16. Following the post through to the end without my attention drifting once, and a look at rapidnexus earned the same uninterrupted attention, content that holds attention without manipulating it is content with substantive pull and this site has demonstrated that substantive pull across multiple pieces in a single reading session reliably here today.
