Uji Matcha Pineapple Cake @ Gartien 小田佳园, Jalan Penang, Penang

Matcha and Pineapple, I never thought of this combination before. What will the taste be, to combine both pineapple and matcha together? You can try it by putting these 2 ingredients into a blender and blend them. Or another easier way, head to Gartien which is located at Jalan Penang and grab their newly launched Uji Matcha Pineapple Cake.

Before tasting it, my friend told me the matcha taste is too strong. However, I don’t feel the same. To me, the pineapple filling taste is a bit stronger than the matcha taste. Maybe I am a matcha lover, I would like the matcha taste to be stronger.

After having the pineapple cake, I will go with a cup of tea.

Overall, Gartien Uni Matcha Pineapple Cake is a perfect gift for anyone who loves matcha and pineapple. The combination works well. I start to miss it while typing this. To avoid any disappointment, it is recommended to make a call for reservation before heading to the shop.
