Thanks to Mr Criz  and Imperial Court Restaurant for the invitation,  I have the chance to try out the Dim Sum and some A La Carte dishes.

Dim Sum
Imperial Dumpling Served with Shark’s Fin in Supreme Stock 鱼翅灌汤饺 – RM18 each. It is a big dumpling. If you are a small eater, you will definitely full or half full after eating the whole piece.

Steamed Scallop & Seafood Dumpling 蟹皇海鲜带子饺 – RM12/3pcs. Maybe due to too much time taken on the photography, the skin of the dumpling has become dried and harden. However, it is still good for its fresh ingredients.

Steamed Siew Mai 鲜虾蒸烧卖 – RM8/3pcs. Some of the restaurant’s Siew Mai will have the pork smell if the pork used is not so fresh. It is not an issue for the Siew Mai from Imperial Court Restaurant.

Deep Fried Yam Puff 蜂巢芋头角 – RM8/2pcs. This is yum yum!!

Wok Fried Radish Cake with Egg & XO Sauce – RM9/portion. *

A La Carte Dishes

Spanish Iberico Ribs 西班牙猪大排 – RM14/100g. The ribs are seasoned well but the meat is a bit hard to my liking. I prefer the meat to be softer and easily to tear it off from the bone. The restaurant will provide a pair of transparent plastic glove for you if you don’t want to get your hand dirty for eating the ribs.

Steamed Chef Special Bean Curds 真真假假豆腐 – RM22/portion*

The bean curd is homemade as the texture is not so smooth if compare to the Japanese tofu selling in the supermarket. But I like it because it tastes better and who doesn’t like homemade food, right?

Deep Fried Egg Plant with XO Chili Sauce 避风塘脆炸茄子 – RM18/portion*

For a person who doesn’t really eat egg plant (yes, I am talking about myself), this dish will make you eat and eat nonstop. Maybe it is because of the deep fried?

Stir Fry Mix Vegetables with Macadamia Nuts 佛钵夏果四宝蔬 – RM22/portion. *

The chef made an extra yam ring of us on the review day. For normal day, this dish is not served with the yam ring. I love to have it with the yam ring though, as the yam is soft to be eaten. The macadamia nuts are an add on. Love it.

Hong Kong Styles Seafood Congee 港式海鲜艇仔粥 – RM388/10pax. This is definitely a dish for the congee and seafood lover. The congee is full of top notch ingredients such as king prawns, grouper fish fillets, meat crab and scallops. Slurp!

Dessert

Osmanthus Jelly 桂花糕 – RM2/pc. It is always good to have dessert after a meal. The texture of this Osmanthus Jelly is not like the normal jelly, it is more chewy. You will need to taste it yourself.

  1. Will be back, that is the simplest way to say it, and a quick visit to wildorchardartisanexchange reinforced the decision, this site has earned a spot in my regular rotation alongside a few other reliable places I check when I want something genuinely informative without all the usual modern web noise getting in the way.

  2. Now feeling slightly more optimistic about the state of independent writing online, and a stop at kettleharbormarkethouse extended that quiet optimism, sites like this one are the reason I have not given up on the open web entirely and finding them occasionally renews the case for paying attention to non algorithmic content sources today.

  3. Felt the writer was speaking my language without trying to imitate it, and a look at caramelcovecraftcollective continued that natural fit, when a writers default voice happens to match what you find easy to read the experience feels frictionless and that is something I notice and remember about specific sites going forward.

  4. Now appreciating the small but real way this post improved my afternoon, and a stop at woodharborcommercegallery extended that small improvement effect, content that produces measurable positive impact on the texture of a reading day is content with real value and this site is producing those small positive impacts at a sustainable rate apparently.

  5. Generally my attention drifts on long posts but this one held it through the end, and a stop at embermeadowmarketguild earned the same sustained focus, content that defeats my drift tendency is content with substantive pulling power and this site has demonstrated that pulling power across multiple pieces in a session that has now run quite long actually.

  6. The clarity here is something I really appreciate, especially compared to sites that pile on jargon for no reason, and a look at discovernewfocus was the same, simple direct sentences that actually deliver information instead of dancing around the point for paragraphs at a time which wastes reader patience.

  7. Reading the writers other posts after this one suggests the quality is consistent rather than peak, and a stop at linenmeadowmarkethall confirmed the consistent quality reading, sites that hold the same level across many pieces rather than peaking on a few are sites with sustainable editorial discipline and this one has clearly developed that.

  8. Honestly enjoyed every minute spent here, that is not something I say lightly, and a look at cloudcovegoodsroom confirmed I will be back, the bar for spending time online is high for me these days but this site clears it without effort which is high praise indeed from this reader who is usually rather demanding.

  9. A piece that read smoothly because the writer understood how readers actually move through prose, and a look at dazzquays maintained the same reader awareness, writers who think about the reading experience as much as the writing experience produce better work and this site has clearly made that shift in editorial approach.

  10. Found this through a search that was generic enough I did not expect quality results, and a look at quickridgemarketgallery continued the surprisingly good experience, search engines occasionally still surface excellent independent content if you scroll past the obvious paid and high authority results which is reassuring to remember sometimes.

  11. Worth flagging that the post handled an angle of the topic I had not seen elsewhere, and a look at bravofarms extended that fresh treatment, content that finds underexplored corners of well covered subjects is genuinely valuable and this site has demonstrated that exploratory editorial approach across multiple pieces in my reading sessions today.

  12. Really appreciate the confidence to make a clear point rather than hedging everything, and a quick visit to caramelcovecommerceatelier maintained the same direct stance, writing that takes positions rather than equivocating is more useful even when the positions are debatable because at least the reader has something to react to clearly.

  13. Liked that there was nothing performative about the writing, and a stop at amberharborvendorlounge continued that genuine quality, performative writing tries to be witnessed rather than read and the difference between performance and substance is huge for the careful reader and this site has clearly chosen substance every time clearly.

  14. One of the more thoughtful posts I have read recently on this topic, and a stop at suncovecraftcollective added even more weight to that impression, this is genuinely good content that holds its own against far better known sites in the same space without trying to imitate any of them at all which I appreciate.
